Support The Obsidian Milk Collective

Centering Care. Creating Community.

Across Alabama, Black families are often left without the lactation care, education, and support they deserve. The barriers are deep—systemic racism, cultural bias, lack of access, and the erasure of Black professionals from maternal health spaces. The Obsidian Milk Collective was created to change that.

We are building a network where Black families feel seen, supported, and safe in their feeding journeys. Through community-led focus groups, culturally responsive lactation education, and scholarships that help train the next generation of Black lactation professionals, we are reclaiming care as an act of resistance and love.

Your donation helps us host conversations that uncover real stories and solutions. It helps fund scholarships that open doors for Black lactation professionals. It allows us to show up in communities with resources, information, and care that meet families where they are.

This isn’t just about milk—it’s about equity, belonging, and thriving Black futures.

When you give, you help us pour back into our communities and ensure that every parent has access to the support they need to nourish their baby and themselves.

Your support makes this possible.
