Connect a family with lactation care.
The Obsidian Milk Collective welcomes referrals from healthcare providers, doulas, birth workers, community organizations, and other professionals supporting pregnant and postpartum families.
Referring is simple.
OMC will work directly with the parent to complete intake and coordinate lactation care.

OMC will contact the parent directly to complete intake, determine appropriate services, and coordinate care.

After the Referral
What happens next?
After receiving a referral, OMC will contact the parent directly to complete our intake and scheduling process.
When requested and appropriate, OMC can provide the referring provider with a lactation care plan or relevant clinical follow-up to support continuity of care.
Important: The referring practice should indicate its preferred method for receiving the care plan directly on the referral form.
Families can connect with us directly.
A provider referral is not required to receive lactation support from The Obsidian Milk Collective.
Pregnant and postpartum families may contact OMC directly to request lactation services.
Please note: OMC's referral process is not intended for emergency medical concerns. If immediate medical evaluation is needed, contact the appropriate medical provider or emergency services.
