Every family's journey is different, and there is no single definition of success. At The Obsidian Milk Collective, we provide evidence-based lactation care that respects your goals, your lived experiences, and your reproductive choices. Whether you're preparing to breastfeed or chestfeed, exclusively pumping, combination feeding, using donor milk, weaning, or choosing not to lactate, our role is to provide information, guidance, and support, not judgment.

Every consultation begins with listening. We'll discuss your goals, answer your questions, assess your concerns, and work together to develop a plan that feels realistic and supportive for your family. Follow-up care is available because lactation is a journey, not a single appointment.
Lactation care through OMC is guided by our LATCH philosophy, ensuring every family has the opportunity to learn with confidence, access compassionate care, thrive throughout their feeding journey, connect with supportive resources, and have their reproductive choices and feeding goals honored.
Who We Serve
The Obsidian Milk Collective was created to serve Black families. Our care model, educational resources, and community partnerships are intentionally designed to address the barriers that have historically limited access to culturally responsive lactation support.
While our systems-level work benefits broader communities, our direct lactation services are centered on Black families.
